CDS Exam 2021: UPSC conducts CDS (I) and (II) Combined Defense Services (Combined Defense Services) exam twice every year. Candidates must be at least a graduate to apply. Both male and female can apply for the vacancies.

Answer: The full form of CDS is Combined Defense Services.

Question 2: What is CDS?

Answer: Combined Defense Services Examination commonly known as CDS is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for the recruitment of commissioned officers in the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.
Selected candidates undergo training at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA) and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA). This exam is conducted twice a year in February and September. Lakhs of candidates appear for the national level defense entrance exam.
